I am so glad you are here visiting my virtual space. My name is Karin Durand and I want to share with you a little bit about my journey as a Holistic Health Coach and also, to let you know how I work to help clients using my knowledge, experience and tools in order to accomplish together, a reborn and updated version of yourself.
Since childhood, I have been very independent and curious about life and the world. I have met people from socially diversified environments, whether cultural, religious, or economic. This has helped me achieve an open-mindedness to understand how important it is to be empathetic, compassionate, tolerant, and not-judgmental about others or ourselves. Every day is a new opportunity to continue learning, understanding and creating my experience in this world, trying to achieve balance and coherence between my thoughts, words and actions.
My strong sense of independence, freedom and innate curiosity have helped me not to be afraid of new challenges. This is how several changes arose throughout my life, taking me to distant lands, new languages, different cultures, and wonderful discoveries.
I left my native country Chile in 2012, with a basic command of the English language, my suitcases and a huge load of enthusiasm.
Today, almost 12 years later, I am happily married with Chris, the love of my life. I can carry out my studies and communicate fluently in English. I switched from wealth management to a Holistic Health Coaching and I started my small business, here in the USA.
I have lived in beautiful places like Miami Beach, Turkey, Cyprus and I have met many others, as well as I have interacted with people from various countries, religions and cultures very different from mine.
On the other hand, I have been experienced several earthquakes, the largest being 8.3 magnitude, living on the 19th floor of the building (in Santiago de Chile, Feb 2010).
I also witnessed the attempted coup in Turkey on July 15, 2016 and saw adults, children, mothers with their babies in the streets suffering as a result of conflicts due to political-religious beliefs.
Why am I telling you this? Because these events are also part of my experience and have been the precursors of my career in holistic health and especially in my interest in helping people who find it difficult to fight anxiety and past trauma.
Many things happen in the world and we have no control over them but ourselves. Unfortunately, a large part of the population has no idea how harmful it can be to live worried about everything that happens around us. My role as a Holistic Health practitioner and Coach is to guide my clients through the process of self-awareness and understanding of how to use their own resources to the fullest to improve their lives holistically.

How to Start Working Together
I suggest an introductory 15-20 minutes call to talk about what is the matter to be explored. This initial call is going to be helpful to determine what is the best support for you and also, if I am the right coach to assist you.
Consultations and coaching both are performed online through video-call at this time. I am fluent in English and Spanish, and I work with people from all over the world.
The therapeutic approach, may be from a single holistic consultation to a complete and much longer therapeutic process. It will depend in what do you need in order to reach your goals.
